A playable public experiment

The LinkedIn Game.

Also known as the Legibility Game: before we ask what public work did, we make a legible guess about what it will do.

Why this matters

Growth advice usually arrives after the result, wearing a small crown. Forecasting forces the claim to exist before the evidence. It gives attention a receipt.

Why now

Idea Nexus Ventures is running a one-month LinkedIn experiment across Build, Transform, and Understand. We have a real slate, dates, hooks, and a bounded readback window.

How to play

Guess impressions and interactions for each post before its settlement date. Return after seven days. Compare the forecast with what LinkedIn actually reports. Preserve the miss.

The league

The post is the intervention. Your forecast is the prior. The settlement is the readback. This first version is local-only: no money, tokens, accounts, or imaginary leaderboard.

What we are testing

  • Whether a clear operating spine beats a collection of disconnected topics.
  • Whether artifacts outperform abstract positioning.
  • Whether falsifiable claims create better conversations than generic certainty.
  • Whether repeated, measured work makes an audience more legible to itself.

What happens next

After each settlement date, we can record actual impressions, reactions, comments, reposts, and saves. Then we score calibration, not just reach.

A forecast is not a bet on a guaranteed outcome. It is a public prior that reality is allowed to correct.

The point is not to look smart before the result. The point is to become less wrong after it.
